Oulipost #2: Lipogram

Today's poem only uses words that do not have the letters of the name of my source, Gulf Times, in them. Thanks to Douglas J. Luman whose ouliposcript was indispensible in completing today's challenge.

a carbon branch
Bach and now
Doha backdrop and how 
by day a happy Arab
anybody can hop

Very cool...I think your paper gave up more poetry than most, or maybe you just were more skilful than most...nice in any case.

I noticed that more than a couple newspapers only left those participants with the letter Y to work with as a vowel, which is tough, but made for more creative use of acronyms or numbers that were embedded in the various texts.

I didn't think of publishing a picture with the results. Was your image in your newspaper? Maybe I will steal that idea from you!
